Heather and Terrance are residents of the Barnum Neighborhood and over the past 15 years have transformed a parking lot into a backyard oasis. They are “Homesteading in Denver.” and in my humble opinion, they should be on HGTV (their 7800+ followers would surely agree) as their social media content centers around learning, sustainability and education.
Both H and T work full-time , which makes what they do just that much more remarkable. They grow hundreds of pounds of food to sustain themselves between growing seasons, preserving their harvest through freezing, dehydrating and canning while sharing their excess with Denver Food Rescue. Heather is on the Board of DFR, celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer, and there will be a requested $10 donation to DFR at the event.
So come join us as we sip, nibble and soak in the beauty and bounty of Heather and Terrance’s growing space. Also a big shout-out to the Gradys for their gracious hospitality and for playing a part in our Growing Food in the City series.
